Having never been to college, I now know how it feels to be in college. For the past year, all I’ve been doing is studying and learning. From reading over four books a month to downloading eBooks and listening to podcast on the subjects I need to learn in order to keep marching forward. I have to say, I’m just hoping that in the next four to six weeks, all I end up doing is “creating” and “marketing” because thats what is going to help spread the word and make me some money. So, with that said, lets move onto the update about my podcasting and book update.

On my Book Outline – not 100% finished yet. Click for PDF.

book outline

First of all, I have never written in my life and I have no idea what I am doing. Writing is a right brain activity and requires one to be a story teller and that is probably my weakness. Based on my personality type – I am an ENTJ by nature. I took the Brigs Myers personality test a few years ago and it answered a lot of questions I had about myself. Long story short, I am more a left brain thinker than a right but I’ve tried to adapt to my new environment as much I could and hopefully my blog posts are exciting enough to read.

My book will be written for Entrepreneurs or anyone who wants to become an Entrepreneur. Since I have been one myself for the past decade, I will write about my own story and be as transparent as possible. I firmly believe that if you want to make it on your own, you must develop a new mindset in all areas of life, including business and that is what some Entrepreneurs lack. Through my book, I hope to inspire people to take massive action and move ahead with their goals.

On Podcasting

As for my Podcast- I’ve ordered my Mackie 1402-VLZ3 mixer and my Heil PR40 MIC as well as all the other accessories which is stupid expensive to even write about! The only other thing I need to get is a hand-held recorder and a compressor/limiter/gate and I am set!

Compressor – makes the sound punchier and more powerful.
Limiter – I can scream to the top of my lungs and the volume will stay the same. I set the volume at a preset level and it will not allow it to go higher.
Gate – if I bring in a Skype caller, the gate acts as a gate keeper, only allowing my voice to come through. If the Skype callers dog barks on the other end, it does not come through in the podcast. Neat huh?

How did I learn all of this? LOL — through a lot of research and study, thats how! I’m telling you, this is ALL I’ve been doing for months! I seriously can’t wait to order my intro/outro and media art and start recording some podcasts. I also need to research about bringing in some guests for some interviews. When its all complete, it will be in iTunes and other podcasting outlets. I hope to become live in the next 2-4 weeks.

How do I plan to monetize all of this? Stay tuned for another blog post in the future. I will write about my detailed monetization plan and how I plan to market myself. Thanks for reading and as always, I love comments so please comment below and tell me what you think!
